The
double tube/oval header design principle of the Schmidt’sche
® Transfer Line Exchangers,
first developed in 1959, was found to be superior and has therefore been used ever
since.
| Ethylene Cracking Furnaces |
This design perfectly meets the process requirement of
extremely rapid cooling of cracked gases combined with the economical aspect of
regaining energy by generating high-pressure steam which meets a large portion of
the plant’s energy demand. Safety, reliability, low maintenance and economical operation
are optimally achieved by this design.
Trouble-free operation for over 30 years in some plants proved the reliability of
the Schmidt’sche Transfer Line Exchangers.
Apart from process gas cooling in ethylene plants, Schmidt’sche Transfer Line Exchangers
are also highly valued in raw gas cooling in coal gasification plants and gas cooling
in hydrogen, methanol, ammonia and other process facilities.
