This design was developed for the cooling of dust-laden gases in various processes with temperatures of up to 1100 °C.

The flue gases pass through the vertically arranged heating tubes at high velocity, while the heat absorbing gas preheated in the shell section of the tube bundle is conveyed around the tubes by means of baffle plates. Preheat temperatures are up to 900 °C.


Application: carbon black, filler and pigment industries, aluminium industry, smelting furnaces in the ceramic industry and in chemical and petrochemical processes.
