ALSTOM Power Energy Recovery GmbH’s activities in the field of heat recovery equipment and boiler engineering and the multitude of highly specialized skills involved require a very broad engineering knowledge of underlying physical processes, as well as a thorough command of appropriate numerical computing methods. Relying on the latest computer technology and refined engineering software systems, our R&D department analyses and solves a wide range of very intricate problems related to process and boiler dynamics, non-linear mechanics, vibration theory, thermodynamics, etc.

Experimental investigations and measurements are performed either at our inhouse workshop, or in co-operation with renowned institutes. Additional important data are obtained by evaluating field measurements conducted on operational plants and equipment.

From the combination of experimental results and theoretical investigations, new designs and solutions to specific engineering tasks are developed.
