In 1995, ALSTOM Power Energy Recovery GmbH was formed through a merger of the two traditional companies Schmidt’sche Heissdampf Gesellschaft mbH, Kassel and Rekuperator Schack GmbH, Düsseldorf.


The company operates from its main office and workshop in Kassel and branch offices in Düsseldorf and Bammental. Affiliated units are in London, Oslo and Stuttgart.
